Slide the yoke (RBM008-1322) back in place and retighten it with the screw handle (RBM009).
#ROCHARD MILL FULL#
The chamber should be approximately 50-60% full with the charge and the sample material loaded.
Place the sample material inside the grinding chamber. The charge should occupy approximately 40-45% of the chamber. Remove the lid (RBM007-1322) and place grinding charge (balls/rods) in the chamber. Turn the screw handle (RBM009) counterclockwise on the yoke (RBM008-1322) until the yoke is loose enough to slide left or right and be removed. Tilt the grinding chamber so that the lid is facing upwards. Remove the locking handle (RBM015) by turning counter clockwise. If necessary you may have to jog the chamber by hand to ensure the locking bar is fully engaged. Pull and rotate locking bar (RBM044) 90 degrees and release slowly into the locating hole, making sure that the tapered end of the locking bar has fully entered the hole. Rotate grinding chamber (RBM005-1322) by hand to locking position. Open both front doors and slide main door all the way back. Procedure for loading samples and grinding media: To check the chambers direction of rotation, run it at the maximum rpm setting while empty, then open the door quickly to check the rotation direction. Note that the grinding chamber must always rotate counterclockwise to prevent any loosening of fasteners. Failure to retract the Locking Bar will cause damage to the machine and/or serious injury.
Warning: Remember to retract the Locking Bar, part 44 before closing the doors and starting the motor. Reverse the operations once the milling chamber is refilled with new media.
Remove the lid and rotate the milling chamber upside down to remove the ground media. Loosen the mill’s locking T-screw in the yoke’s side and let it swing vertically. Lock the milling chamber by engaging the Locking Bar, part 44. Manually rotate the mill’s yoke in the horizontal position. For emptying and recharging the milling chamber, turn off the electric drive, open the doors and retract the safety enclosure. WARNING! Do not start the motor with a safety enclosure retracted and doors open. There is no need to touch anything while it performs the intended function.Īny alterations, re-wiring or modifications to be done on this machine while under warranty, must be authorized by the manufacturer otherwise all warranties become void.
